One of the big issues is determining what attributes the dot characters
should. I never could figure out why LibLouis was setting them the way it
was.
A dot combination is assigned the attributes of the first defining rule for it.
If you have:
letter a 1
digit 1 1
then dot 1 is a letter. If those two rules are the other way around then dot 1
is a digit.
