I can't really comment about the correctness of your findings because I
don't know that part of the code.
I'll test them thoroughly, and if they work I'll give you a fix.
These multipass related functions exists in both lou_translateString.c and
lou_backTranslateString.c. I think probably those in lou_translateString
has had more testing and bugfixes and is more reliable than those in
lou_backTranslateString.
Yes, I'm sure that's true. I'll try to get the back translate ones to work
properly.
