Vic, Putting each word individually within <strong> - </strong> tags is not good practice. Liblouis needs to see the whole phrase within a single pair of tags to make a proper translation. I don't know how you are viewing the xml, but when I looked at it there were no spaces. It was just one long line. Unfortunately I don't know how to contact the creators of this plugin.
