Dumindu,
Same experience here. We have had touch screens in a few places however after
the novelty wears off they are never used for that purpose. The screens are
double to cost of a non-touch version and are very heavy.
We make use of commercial screens from 75-98” with an attached PC running teams
which the user logs into. Screens have a Poly Studio device attached to the PC
and they work well with Teams. Wireless mouse and keyboard are used.

Hi Dumindu,
We have had similar experiences to Trici in one of our meeting rooms and found
that a good wireless keyboard and mouse to be more practical than a touch
screen.
Thanks

HI Dumindu
We installed a 70” touch screen in our chambers in 2019.
I would not install another touch screen for the following reasons
* The screen is covered in fingerprints
* People do not expect the screen to be touch. They often touch it during
presentations then get quite confused trying to find their place in the
presentation again.
* We have been asked on several occasions to turn off the touch
functionality
* I have not witnessed anyone intentionally using the touch functionality
(aside from IT staff)

Subject: lg-it Windows based touchscreens for conference rooms
Hi All
I want to get some opinions/reviews on systems other Councils use.
We want to deploy windows-based touchscreens (55”,65”,70”) for our conference
rooms.
We are thinking of going with Dell Interactive Touch Monitors, does any other
Councils use these?
