Hi Liam,

I would be happy with Tim’s specs as well!!!!

Take a look at what sort of GIS tasks and process that they would be doing.
There would be a big difference between editing basic linework for maintaining
assets and parcels etc vs maintaining a full 3D model of a city.

We are currently using Dell Precision of varying specs.  Mine is a 5820 that is
couple of years old with 32Gb Ram, with Xeon W-2125 CPU @ 4Ghz with an Nvidia
Quadro P5000 with SSD drives.

We use ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro.

Also check how multi-threaded the applications are to be able to use the multi
CPU cores and also how much GPU the apps are able to use of it as well.  No
real point in having a beefy GPU if the apps aren’t making use of it.

specs for ESRI (which we were evaluating at the time):

•         Windows® 10 Pro (4 Cores Plus) for Workstations

The GIS team here are very happy with them!
