Hi Adrian,
We recently implemented the same. We adapted Bepoz to do this as it's sort of
our unofficial corporate POS system.
From my understanding, we did an export of our rating module into Bepoz's
Customer Database (a local server). We assigned each customer a set number of
vouchers. Residents are required to bring their rating notice or a proof of
address to the tip when claiming free vouchers, our staff access Bepoz via RDP
to a VM to check the address and process the voucher. Then they process the
free entry via the tip-specific POS software to trigger gates to open and
record for EPA.
The main reason we went down the Bepoz path for this was that we also
implemented Bepoz as a mobile-POS system for remote tips where there is little
to no cellular reception. We used Surface tablets to act as a portable point of
sale for these sites. They dock in the main tip overnight so connect to the
network and update transaction data then. These tips also claim free vouchers
as well as process payments for tipping - so it was beneficial to share the
same database.
Cheers

Hi
We are investigating digital vouchers for residents to allow them to take a lad
of waste to our resource recovery centres, otherwise known as rubbish tips.
We want to issue residents with a fixed number of vouchers per year and have
them accessible via QR codes or similar.
We have looked at a system from Mandalay Technologies which looks OK, just
wondering if any others have been looking at or implemented such systems.
