Hi all,
I'm looking for anyone running OpenText eDocs as well as MS Defender for
Endpoint (managed by Endpoint Manager) on Windows 10, co-managed.
We have an issue where .MSG files in eDocs will have the edit date changed when
opened with Outlook, even though the action is simply to open and view.
We've worked with the vendor and so far, unable to find a fix despite a few
different strategies. I'm reaching out for anyone with a similar software
environment.
We did not have this issue with our previous AV.
I didn't want to spam everyone with too much detail, but so far, we have tried
(amongst other things):
* Testing vanilla consumer MDE - does not have the issue
* Removing all config for MDE except for enrolment - issue persists
* Whitelisting various files, folders and processes related to OpenText
eDocs - issue persists
* Handing over logs to OpenText for them to investigate - nothing so far
* Procmon and regsnap - just confirming that MDE is the issue
