Hi All,
I'm wondering if any other LGs are using a "Lone Worker App" to control the
risk of Operational staff working alone and/or isolated? We're looking for a
solution that allows staff to check out and in when attending jobs, and an
escalation process to raise an alert to a supervisor if they miss a check in.
We would also like the solution to have a web-based reporting and dashboard
solution for real time tracking, configuration and reporting functionality.
These are some scenarios we're hoping to address:
* A resident calls the after-hour contact number at 10pm to report a tree
down over a road. The after-hours call centre logs a job and contacts the
after-hours person on-call to allocate the task. John is on call, receives a
call with description and location, goes out and removes the tree. John
returns home at 1:00am however his team leader does not know he's OK until the
start of work the next day.
* Rae falls and hurts herself while working alone on a Tuesday at 10am.
She needs to raise an alert with her supervisor and get assistance to complete
the job while she gets medical attention.
* Pete is called out to a job in Carbunup which has bad mobile phone and
internet coverage. Pete is unable to get to his vehicle to communicate via
2-way radio when he is out there by himself.
I look forward to hearing about what others are using in this area.
Many thanks
Tim
