Thanks. Right off the bat, the ScreenScale.TIF texture has different geocoords than the Glencoe30mDem513x.tif terrain. The texture seems to be located above (north of) and overlapping only slightly on the east. The worldfile.bpw also has the UTM zone as 31N while the terrain is 30N.
If I don't request 'Use geocoords' in the texture dialog, and reset the texture params to defaults, the texture lands pretty close to the terrain. So this may be a case of the texture (or the terrain?) having the wrong coords.

Sure. Also, I was able to export it as a 24-bit tif. (unfortunately uncropped -- I don't know if Leveller is capable of cropping it to the heightfield, but I had hope.)The subsets were made in MicroDem. They are only rough approximations of the size needed; in the past Ive been able to use Microdem to crop them but have had trouble with it today. And 3Dem woun't process them as the terrain is at the border of two UTM Zones. The file Glencoe30mDem513x.tif is a GeoTiff terrain. It may be a band interpretation issue.Ray Greg Sandor wrote:Thanks. I think textures are enable in scene and in the map. I've tried both unmodified Bands and Subsets processed in Microdem. When I select the geotiff, the loading bar shows it loading, and its listed here in the properties, but even after toggling the tex icon, all I see is the regular colormap.DOCUMENT PROPERTIES File: Import of Glencoe30mDem513x.tif Stored in: (not saved yet) Latest changes saved: FALSE Title: Author: Copyright: Stay above ground: FALSE Water level: 0 px________________________________________________________________________________ DOCUMENT STATE TRACKING PROPERTIESNumber of queue elements: 1 Current queue position: 0 Initial state memory usage: 1.52 MB Queue memory usage: 468 bytes Time required for an Undo: zero seconds Queue contents (newest to oldest): .
