I am glad to hear that I am not the only member still using an Alpa.
They are built like tanks and have some of the best glass, like the
Macro Switar, the Kinoptik, Angénieux and Kilfitts. I specially like the
150mm Kinoptik for Macro on a bellows.

Don't you use any of those Alpa lenses?

I have recently acquired a R9 and one of the advantages for my work is
the mirror lockup, which you do not have on Alpas. A pity you cannot use
the Switar and Kinoptics on the R9.
I heard so much about the superiority of the old Leicaflexes I also just
bought an SL2 on ebay and am running my first film through it. This
camera reminds me very much of the Alpa. Beautiful bright big viewer
image, like the Alpa, and also built like a tank. The R9 has a good
screen but it does not seem as good as the SL2s
