BUT THESE DAYS AND NEW PRODUCERS??????????? OK Richard steady now when you take me on who has probably bought and used professionally more Leica camera's and lenses at one given time than most on this list since 1956. Quite frankly when I was shooting every day 365 days of the year "ASSIGNMENTS FOR CLIENTS!" I always had 3 or 4 M or pre M Type camera bodies and lenses. Plus always 3 R, motor driven Leica reflex cameras of the most up to date model of the day. Complete with a mess of lenses from 15mm to 400 2.8! Hell I don't have a problem with Leica camera's as I was the Headliner for the Leica International Seminar for 16 years. But when I saw the photographs posted by Steve Barbour of Tikwa you have to admit they looked pretty damn sharp, crisp and well balanced in exposure! My point was and is, "Look at this for whatever it costs compared to a Leica M9 for $7000 grand!" I suppose in your comment I can accept that you already own a couple of M9's with several lenses and lots of shooting experince on a daily basis? Or are you just rattling your cage? My good fortune is I've reached a time in my life and career where I don't require the gear of the past, so at this time I do have a tough time accepting $7000 for a Leica body. However! If I were shooting as I was during my multi years about the world past I wouldn't hesitate to pop for a few $7000 bodies as that was the manner in how I covered my assignments. Not sure this makes any sense to you, but I suppose it's worth a try. cheers, Dr. ted. ------ Unsubscribe or change to/from Digest Mode at: http://www.lrflex.furnfeather.net/ Archives are at: //www.freelists.org/archives/leicareflex/
