However, virtually all chargers are a small transformer, which converts the 110 back to 18 or 12 or 9 or 6 or whatever voltage the unit needs to charge with, and then converts it to DC for charging. Thus, small inverters will usually be quite sufficient. The do generate 'noise' of their own, which will often result in 'noise' in a Ghetto Blaster, radio or similar audio device. This is usually not a problem for charging batteries. Just my 2 cents worth ... but based on 30 yrs in the retail electronics trade.
