I used a Sumi-R 50 reversed for years, then a few months ago I bought a
Leica loupe.
I really like it and my arm doesn't get as tired :^)

David,
I've heard many times that the best loupe for looking at slides was a reversed 50mm hand held over the slides.
Hmmm, it felt so strange that I never tried.
And then Douglas said:
Interesting you should mention that Xavier, I've just been using my CV 50mm Nokton
for just that purpose.
then Art chimed in...
I have an old 50mm, f/1.4 Mamiya ZE series lens that I bought for $5.00 US, 20 some years ago, and it makes a great lupe. It doesn't work for anything else.
Xavier, Douglas & Art:
I've never tried this... though, in my own pedestrian way, I regularly use my (reversed) 90mm Summicron when removing splinters from fingers!
For slides I use an SMC-Pentax 5.5x loupe made for 6x6cm work. Very nice.
However, I do own an old 50mm Super-Takumar... perhaps I should experiment with it...
