Then I should be a lot better at photography than I am, Ted. I hardly think at
all. ;-)

  Hi Dave,

Here's Yogi Berra quote about baseball that I apply to photographers.

"<<<Yogi Berra said, "you can't bat and think at the same time".

Which translates to, "you can't shoot and think at the same time.">>>>>

By the time a photographer stops thinking and not reacting to his-her gut
feelings the moment is gone!

It works out to "SEE - SHOOT!" don't think!

No problem, Ted. If a web site is going to quote you, they should at least
get the wording correct and give credit where credit is due. Plus it is quite
an astute saying almost as good as You can observe a lot by watching. Yogi
Berra ;-)

Excellent, Ted. I will now go to the web site that lists notable quotes
and ask to have the author unknown credit changed to that of Ted Grant,
mentor, sage and all around great photographer. :-)

      Hi Dave,

Yes it's mine and it's this way:

"When you photograph people in colour you photograph their clothes.

But when you photograph people in B&W, you photograph their souls!"

Mine for a great number of years.

Thanks for asking and your compliment. J

      ted

      Hey Ted,

Did you coin this phrase? "If you're photographing in color you show
the color of their clothes - if you use black & white, you will show the color
of their soul"

If you did, good one. If not, do you know who did?

      Dave
