Thanks Bob and Bill for your feedback. I take it the 3000 and 3880 use the same ink and probably have the same output quality. Don’t need 17” and don’t have room for it anyway. There is a $250 rebate on the R3000 until the end of the month. Makes it very reasonable compared to the next lower model. I was reading the manual and I guess you still waste a lot of ink when switching between Black cartridges, but you don’t have to physically remove the ink and replace the cartridge. I was under the impression you did not waste the ink, but I guess it uses the same nozzles on the print head, so if has to flush the line of the old ink to use the new ink. I still have a few days to decide.
