I, too, own the Minolta inspired 24mm and find it to be an outstanding lens. My only previous comparisons were an old Nikon 24 way back in the early 70's that I disliked, and a 25mm Zeiss I used for close to 25 years on my Rollei SL-35 that was also an outstanding lens. Great color saturation. My regret is that if I ever would be so inclined to buy a Canon 5D, the 24 will not work on it w/o some modification to the lens or the camera mirror or both. Welcome.
