Understandable... my perhaps unwarranted optimism comes from a couple of
viewpoints. As this link is to a "rumor blog", I don't expect the photos
to reflect the final product. However, the SL mount is basis of my hope,
becuase according to Leica's site:
"The Leica adapters let you use more than 150 Leica lenses on the Leica
SL: the high-performance Leica S- and M-Lenses, the classic R-Lenses,
and the award-winning Leica Cine Lenses."

So, it depends on what one can do once they're using the 'R' adapter on
the SL mount, and it may be a small step for Panasonic to provide a
model which has the 'R' lens interface. A long-shot, I know!

If that is indeed a photo of the actual lens mount, I do not see any
mechanism to sense or work with an R lens diaphragm mechanism. So, I
would not hold my breathe for a native mount for R lenses.

Hi 'flexers,
Could it be that our overly-long wait for a digital body that
"natively" accepts our
"R" lenses may be coming to an end?
