Dear Ted, I trust your words and always find wisdom in them. About 11 years ago (just pre digital era) I skip a year in my college and got a job at a local newspaper as a press photographer. I was shooting with my nikons and never babied them. This is not the case with the SL either, I look at it as a temporary solution. The strap lugs are only about 1 mm thick and I don`t trust them. I wonder why Leica made them of brass and not of steel. I hope your new M8 serves you well, mon ami. A beautiful machine!
