My cameras (fujis) also spot out the eyes of statues … which always amazes me
The funniest is face recognition in LR : when back from Thailand two years ago
with thousands of Buddha shots, LR would systematically call the Buddhas «
Henri » which is the name of one of my best friends. This tells a bit about his
own well-fed face and belly size. I tried to force Lr to call buddhas buddha,
and friend Henri is now called Buddha, which suits him well ..., he said.

Custom Setting a4 (Auto-area AF face/eye detection) now offers an Animal
detection option that adds dogs and cats to the subjects supported by face-
and eye-detection autofocus. As a result, the camera can now detect and focus
on the faces and eyes of dogs and cats.
I am assuming the camera can’t differentiate between eagle eyes and cat and
dog eyes.
