David,

The R7 is a very nice camera with a lot more exposure options than you'll probably ever need, the R5 has about the same but no fill-in flash option or mirror lock-up. If you can find one, an R-E is a good body that's not overloaded with functions - sort of a lean R5. They are all more or less the same size (I think the R7 is 2mm or so higher) and all have the same controls you are used to from the R6.2. If you are thinking of using a winder or drive, the R5 takes its power from the winder/drive when it's mounted, the R7 doesn't.

Cheers
Douglas

The 60 is a pretty amazing lens at macro and infinity. You won't go wrong there. The older 28 is not that great a lens compared to the 60, although it is pretty cheap. Another option could be the 21-35 zoom. This is a pretty good lens, IMO "better" that either the old 28 and the older 21 and about as good as the 35 summicron. If you can live with the slow speed, it's something to consider. My favorite two lens combo for my DMR are the 21-35 and the 60.

Hey, I have to rationalize this somehow! I am selling all my Nikon digital photo gear so that I can add to my Leica collection. I had an epiphany while shooting on the California coast last weekend that I am happiest with a nice film camera (like my 6.2) and 2-3 lenses at most. My intention is to get a 28 f/2.8 and a 60 f/2.8 macro plus one more body for my R system; either another 6.2 or an R7. Any thoughts or advice?
