If it is weather sealed, they don't advertise it. It is a gold band
so-called professional lens, so who knows. I've heard it both ways. I am
sure it is more sealed than my old Leica 35-70, but I used that one in the
rain and mist quite a bit and just wiped it down. Of course, no real
sophisticated electronics in it to short out.

Even though my camera is not full frame, it fills in all the gaps I had with
one lens, so that should work for me. 10-24, 24-120, 70-300 and then the
beloved 100 APO macro. Will carry the 35 and 50 crons for faster lenses if
needed. They are nice and compact and light. Fit in my pocket easily.
