The 240 does have a more restricted DOF than a 60..... but overall, it should
not be that far out of focus, comparatively.....
Unless the film was buckled in the holder.....or there were some swings and
tilts going on......more likely #2

Did you deliberately throw the foreground out of focus in the 4x5 photo?
