Nice shot! The 800e is most impressive when viewed large, being a 1/2 frame crop! But, when large, I see what looks like "noise". Were you shooting at a high ISO? If so, running the shot through Noise Ninja, or (my fav) Neat Image, might help. Otherwise, a very nice capture! David. Hi David, Thanks for looking and commenting. The shot was taken at ISO 6400 and no noise reduction was applied - either in camera or with photoshop. I agree that the noise could be reduced but I wanted to see what the camera would do and seeing it, I kinda liked the graininess of it. I don't think the D800E has the noiseless reproduction of a D700 - evidence the photo - but then it is 3 X the pixels. I will now run the photo through CS noise reduction and see what comes out.
