Hi,

The primary advantage of software only solution is it can be turned off when
not needed without having to tamper with hardware (e.g. trying to mechanically
fit/ remove a filter).

The surpise is that other vendors either have not investigated this route
or have (e.g. kodak) and could not 'fix' the issue sufficienly to get good
magazine reviews of their products.

Regards
Keith
