After reading Xavier's post of Paris being immobilized, I thought I'd post my
Sunday morning story...
No art here, just documentation.
I am the president of our local TV Society, and we run a small rebroadcast
system for our small town - some 27 digital channels. Our tower and broadcast
site is just 2.5 minutes from my home, up a single lane, gravel road that has a
nasty, hair-pin turn about half way.
This past Sunday morning, I dashed up the hill to do a small job and was there
about 20 minutes. As I drove down the hill, when I got to the hair-pin turn, I
found I could go no further...

Here is, perhaps, a better view...

The bus driver had dropped off a load of cross-country skiers at the lower
parking lot (from where all but the first shot were taken) but found he could
not turn around. So, he decided to back up the hair-pin turn a wee bit, turn
around and drive down. It did not work.
Finally, help arrived.

And, after 2 an 1/2 hours, I was able to complete my 2 1/2 minute trip!
