Spring in the mountains, consists of three stages. The first is snow (you've
seen my posts). The Second, is flooding (you've seen Dan's bridge).
And now, Forest Fires. Yesterday, we had three... the closest came - as the
crow flies - within 4km (<2.5 miles) of our house, which is closer than I like.
We didn't get to see the main fire, as we were out of town, most of the day.
But, this morning, after feeding the horses, I went up the Tunkwa Lake Road, to
watch a helicopter aid with the moping up operation.
