Philippe, All

I hope you made it today to the salon de la photo.

In fact, I could obtain no information of value from Olympus.

All the staff was focused onto the Olympus Pen, new and digital.

But for the Reflexes, rather than speaking of the future products, they prefeerd to show how advanced Olympus is with a whole range of lenses.

It was not that bad, I could mount the famous 25mm PanCake of my Digilux and get the feeling ;)

As for a tropicalised camera eventually the rumoured E4, no word was uttered...

Olympus has widened the range of the Reflexes, probably to find out what would sell better.

My Frined and Photographer Serge told me that Olympus is having a hard time, the future of the 4/3 is doomed

Olympus cameras do take wonderful images, that's for sure...

by calling the system 4/3 rds, they have coaxed focus continuously on their sensor, and that may be a fatal error....

But as his company is going through a hard time, he may speak for himself only....

David : Wish I was there today - Depardon & Clergue ... (check on them if you DK, might give you ideas for your photo sessions)

Xavier : Should I not be able to make it there on Sat, could you please inquire if Oly has a successor (near) ready for the E3? Any detail welcome. Merci par avance.

Bien amicalement de Metz en gelée.

For those not familiar with the Salon de la Photo Paris it is a large photo fair, though not on the scale of PMA or Photokina.

Still, a very worthwhile show...
