Nice Marlboro shot David. :-)

If I may comment :
I think the focus is about one or two yards too long - extremely difficult I know - from what I see, the sand behind the hindlegs seems to be sharper, and the horse's head is not so sharp, not the result of movement blur, but of focus. It would also have helped to get the background less present and would have set the pair out. Second, I'd try to get lighter dark areas, just a bit, for - is it my screen ? - they look somewhat blocked - Mind you, I understand light was not tip top at all.

Was it shot with the AF-SWD on E3?
FL?
Stab?
ISO?

In any case you caught them at the right moment and I like the atmosphere you got in it.

Amitiés
Philippe

Yesterday was a tough day for photos.... The weather was a pleasant 24 degrees (75.2 in the USA) but with a steady, light rain ... which dampened the field (little dust) and the clouds made for slower shutter speeds.

Still, it was a pleasant day, for a ride...

C&C appreciated, as always....
