Peter, I had some coded lenses and some not for M8 and M9 cameras and I really
didn’t see that they did much more than report the correct focal length to the
exif. The 35 summicron asph was pretty nicely corrected already, and the 75
too.

Say, a question for you as a Leica M10 user, and I guess for Peter K., too,
should he see this. Did you have your lens engraved or are your lens already
cut with the 6-bit codes that I’ve been reading about? If you did, is there
any advantage to it. I’ve been reading about the feature and wondering just
how much it adds to the usefulness of the lens. Thanks.
