Another excellent timing moment and rider particularly at his most vulnerable moment for injuries from the bull. At least there is an infield clown right at hand making a move to help him before some head butting or trampling.

Are you right at ground level? I don't mean inside the field but on a riser of som kind because in each of your photos it seems you are slightly above ground level from the angles. Which by the way are better in these cases than standing on the ground?

Thanks, Ted, for your comments.

I've just realized that I never answered your question, so, better late than never...

I was at ground level, but standing. I tried squatting, but (a) it was uncomfortable, for long periods, and (b) the angle seemed to include more of the background. By standing, I was able to "clean up" some of the background clutter, by including more of the ground. But, no, I was not on a riser... at the Falkland Rodeo Grounds, the stands are back another 25 meters and elevated about 8 meters. And there are no smaller risers, nearby. The stands are great for viewing --- not so great for photography.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers!
