When we went, it was off season and no one was around.
But Barbara wanted to see the Thermal Waters.... healing waters in local
speak......
So off we went to visit a Spa. We ( I ) expected to see various beautiful
rooms filled with posh accouterments and offerings of nail work, foot
massage. etc. Wrong..... It was set up like an American Hospital with
treatment rooms, Brunhilda types offering to crack your back ( I don't
speak Huingarian, so my interpretation of what I saw might me off...) and a
big lake area with boardwalks and that final rinse in the lake itself.....
it was water that looked dark ( dirty?).... People "taking the waters" all
over the place.....
Instead of it being a place to relax, it was a medical place... like a
hospital.
Across the street were several ( like maybe 10) places for people seeking
sustenance.....fried food, pickled food and all sort of stuff that is
definitely NOT low in calories, not fattening. not fatty etc..... quite a
difference from the environment across the road...
We had Fish Soup at our hotel restaurant.... delish.....
