Lake Balaton is one of the big, if not the biggest, tourist draws in Hungary.
It is a lovely lake, some 78 Km (48 miles) long, but has an average depth of
only 3.3 meters (11 feet) so it warms up rapidly, in the summer sun. Ideal for
boating or swimming.
We stopped at a small town (I do not know it's name) and spent a lovely hour
just walking the promenades.
