However, it would be a very good marketing thing for them when they sell an M8, certainly for the 1st year anyway. If the M8 crashed and burned due to internal function of anything, the camera would automatically be replaced with new! Sure be a great sales marketing thing for them.Philippe Amard asked: Subject: [LRflex] Ted : Re: M8 Kaput - Fresh updateTed,Just a thought, and in an inquiring mood today. As Leica folks seem to be somewhat messy about after-sales, do you think I could possibly expect to get a replacement camera BEFORE purchasing one ?<<<<<<<<Hi Philippe Be a cool thing if you could pull that off! JMight have a try, if Flavio the swift-red-car-country man hasn't mailed them already!! LoL.
take good care of yourself Ted, and of your gear, too.Yours, most respectfully.Isn't this what they offer with the Digilux 3 ?Then the returned camera would be gutted and put up for sale, if new looking it could be sold as new as the guts would all be new and if no marks on the body why not?Any camera body with slight dinged could be sold as a "demo-priced camera" as they do with demo gear.ted
