Hi David,
I thought this might be okay. I started using this focusing screen with
my long lenses and it is more trouble than I want to go to to make a
change. I did recently get another screen from *bay and got burned.
The former owner had broken the tab off and the tweezers would not
grip. I tried getting it in my camera but ended up throwing it away.
Unfortunately some time passed between the time I got it and the time I
tried to use it and by then I had forgotten where it came from. Live and
learn I guess.

Thanks Xavier,
I have been using the ground glass with grids and have gotten used to it now. That should work okay with a short lens, shouldn't it?
Thanks
Charles
Hi Charles!
Sorry to butt in, but I use the ground glass w/grids for everything - and it works just fine! I have a microprism screen and Xavier's right, it is better for 24 & wider lenses, but I'm too lazy to change the screen when I change the lens.
Use Ted's trick and you'll do fine. Or, like me, just 'wing it'. Guessing distances with a 21 @ f8 is a piece of cake!
Cheers! ----------
