Hi Charles!
Sorry to butt in, but I use the ground glass w/grids for everything - and
it works just fine! I have a microprism screen and Xavier's right, it is
better for 24 & wider lenses, but I'm too lazy to change the screen when I
change the lens.
Use Ted's trick and you'll do fine. Or, like me, just 'wing it'. Guessing
distances with a 21 @ f8 is a piece of cake!
