Agreed.
What is the percentage of photos anyone taken at full aperture though ? =

This brings the extra stop or two at a price not very many people think it=
 worth paying I'm afraid - but this is an old story (FYI I still own a lik=
e new 1.4 Canon FD 50mm I haven't resolved to part with).

I know that bokeh is an issue, light is no longer, or so of little importa=
nce. =

1.4 is also important when the VF is not that clear e.g. L1 - I'd really l=
ike to have an eye through the 1.4 in that respect.
