BTW, the 2002 State Bentley that HM Queen Elizabeth II uses is equipped
with suicide doors. Supposedly it is easier for the chauffeur to open
the rear door and the Queen exits in a forward position rather than
facing the back and having to go around the open door. From a security
standpoint also she is protected by the armoured door at her back. With
a regular forward-opening door, she would be exposed at her back while
exiting. No matter, they are really neat looking, I think.
