I wrote earlier, of our drive, last Sunday, through the backwoods, single lane,
dirt Forestry Roads, leading to Brookmere (Pop: a few permanent residents* ),
Tulameen (Pop: 250) and eventually the large town of Princeton (Pop: 2828).
Just short of Brookmere, we stopped for a picnic and I noticed some bees paying
close attention to a stand of almost-done-for-the-year fireweed plants.
(Fireweed, btw, is the official flower of the Yukon.)
So, out came the 100-400 PanaLeica.
While not up to the standard of Sonny's recent bee photo, it served to test the
camera/lens after it's recent "drop-test".
You decide if it still works.
What you see is roughly the center 50% of the original image.
* That's the official description!
