The lack of the AA filter yields fine detail that cannot be found in other digitals - other than the M8 & the MF digital backs, of course. However, this is dependent on one actually *having* the DMR they own! When my R8+DMR was water damaged, in Solms, the first email I received from Ralph Hagenauer said: >"I will make sure that you will not have a disadvantage out of this accident." It is now 7 1/2 months later, and I still do not have a functioning camera. I don't know how others would feel, in this situation, but I'm certainly feeling "disadvantaged". Rose is urging me to sell the DMR, just because of Leica's incredibly poor handling of this matter. I probably will not take her advice, as the DMR is an incredible image cutter, despite it's foibles. But, never again, will I travel without a backup body, of a different brand. And, this entire episode will certainly make me think twice about buying an R10, no matter what they come out with! (I'm ranting... so I'll stop, now...)
