Thanks, Bill, for your kind words.
But, out of some 200+ photos taken in the snow, this was the ONLY one that had
a decent sense of action, composition & focus.
On a clear day, I'll get 450 keepers out of 500 shots. The rest usually fail
because the bikes move so fast, I fail to keep the focusing spot on the bikes.
My bad.
When it is snowing, the ratio is reversed.
Still, when it works....
Thanks for taking the time to look & comment.
David.
David,------
For all your uncomplimentary complaints about snow fall and AF, I think
that shot is an absolute beaut. Great colors and action.

As Peter K. has just shown, snow can be lovely.
But, if you have to "reach" a long way through it, such as with a 300
or 400mm lens, it wreaks havoc with autofocus!
I spent my day at Stake Lake, as promised. Conditions were a bit
rough, with moderate to heavy snowfall and a "mild" -26C (-15
Fahrenheit, for those in the USA) that never varied. At least there
was only a light breeze.
Here, in Logan Lake, as I write at 10PM, it is a much warmer -23.4C.
(All things are relative.)
Most of today's shots can be described as unmitigated disasters,
because of failed AF.
But, sometimes we get lucky.
