Surprisingly, it is rather easy to tell the shots from a modest PHD=
 digi-camera from those from a LeiCanon or other digi-SLR on a reasonbable=
 screen.  Not so much in the fine details, for screen resolution limits=
 that, but in contrast and saturation.

Sadly, most P&S users wouldn't see it, no matter how obvious it was.  So=
 long as they can recognize Aunt Suzie, then, in their minds, it's good.

Now that is a nice thought! Maybe not so far as an R9, but even getting=
 some interested in a fascinating hobby and having them move to, say,=
 something of the DigiLux level would be a good thing!

Sadly, many industry pundits are forecasting that cameraphones may wipe out=
 the digital point & poke market! Let us hope that does not come to pass!
