Doug, Amen; it is a very, very good point. Working down a lens mount past an opened shutter is a bit daunting to me now but perhaps I could learn. I believe I'd make a cardboard and/or wood mock up to practice the procedure a couple of times before I'd try it "down the throat" of any real camera; the M8 comes to mind.
