To: leicareflex@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2010, 9:57 AM Mike, I reccomend "Allied Photo" located in Wyoming Michigan. I have used them for 20yrs or so and even worked there for a bit. They are a Family owned, quality operation with national & worldwide accounts, and even provide the actual production of products people order from other various other labs. They provide a dizzying array of digital options so I suggest your cousin make a prepatory call to their customer service line - probably be talking to Joy, she's great - and outlining the totality of the situation and asking what is the best route to take for having Allied scan them. My next topic may be much more important. Where's the camera they were shot with?!? :-) hee hee Richard in Mich ________________________________ Be Nice To Your Children! My cousin just found 3 of 5 WWII rolls of b&w 35mm negs - shot by his Uncle during the War. It may have been shot with a "liberated Leica". His` uncle is 90 and semi-retired. I have no idea of their condition. I do not have a film scanner at home. During my brief sojourn at Wolf/Ritz Camera (pre bankruptcy) - we had Fuji lab scanners but were always afraid when using very old 35mm film - of scratching. Can any of you in the Midwest - recommend a custom lab that might deal with antique negatives? We want to scan all to cd.
