Fellow flexers:
Rose send me a link to a fellow who has salvaged 31 rolls of undeveloped film,
dating from WWII.
I found the story fascinating, so I thought I'd pass the link on.
http://www.warhistoryonline.com/world-war-ii/31-rolls-of-film-from-a-wwii_soldier.html
At the bottom of the page, there is a 10 minute video about the project ....
you may or may not wish to watch it.
They ran a few moments of almost black, to simulate the darkness, when loading
the tanks. But when I heard the unmistakable sound of film being wound onto
the reels, in the dark, I automatically began to smile.
I guess you really never get the fixer out of your hair!
If you've only ever done digital photography, watch the video,, just to see how
it was done in the old days.
Enjoy!
David.
