Hi Bob!

No matter how you've treated your "beater" G5, two years is not a
long time, in the life of a Leica.

Sorry, Bob, but I stand by my statement. Using flexible circuits to
connect things like moveable displays, becomes not a matter of "if"
it fails, only a matter of "when".

Thirty years of running a service department, repairing all manner of
electronics with moving "bits" connected by flexible circuits, has
shown me to be right, time, after time, after time.

For low cost items, where the approach is to replace, not repair,
such circuits are perfect, in this use. Internally, where they are
flexed only during construction and the occasional repair, they are
inexpensive, effective and totally reliable. But, for moving bits....

Cheers!
