I was wondering with your letter why you made a point of mentioning that the camera "does focus to infinity," then I looked at the summacumlaude website, with the little insect crawling around it scribing a lazy eight pattern (i.e., infinity). I liked that. David. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Walter Kramer" <walter.kramer@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

It's not an adapter however. A chap in I believe Florida USA converts the camera to a Leica R mount and offers these on Ebay. I emailed him directly and was able to purchase a converted camera for around US $800. The camera does focus to infinity. Once converted you can no longer mount Sigma lenses of which I have zero anyway. http://www.sigmacumlaude.com/ You can purchase the conversion kits or if available buy an SD14 already converted. There is a list of usable lenses on the site however more than these will work. I discovered for myself that both the 70-210 and 80-200 will work fine. The sticking point is how far the rear of the lens protrudes into the camera and whether the rear light shade on some R lenses needs to be trimmed. Some lenses may not be suitable at all, so far I have used. 50mm cron. (I had to shave a millimetre or so off the rear light shade for this to fit) 90mm cron (no issues) 70-210mm (no issues) 80-200mm (no issues) 35-70mm 3.5 (no issues) 35-70mm 4.0 (no issues) Walter On Sat, 2009-08-22 at 18:01 -0700, Steve Barbour wrote:
