BTW, the instructions for the R8/R9 winders and motors are in the camera
instruction manuals.

power supply cable of some sort. Did the R8 motor-winder have a NiCad
battery within the drive assembly that needed to be charged also for the
unit to transport film?
I looked thru various searches online to find an instruction manual
specific to the unit to answer the question; but have come up empty-handed.
So, I turn now to the wealth of knowledge residing herein with all of you.
Can anyone fill me in regarding this?
