Very nicely captured, Peter. Those mosaics - were they on a wall or floor or
both? That’s amazing that this one and the rest have survived so well. Thanks
for continuing to introduce things I never knew existed.
Best regards,

In Sicily, we visited Villa Casale, an early 4th Century Roman villa. It has
an incredible collection of well-preserved mosaics. Here's one: A scene from
the Polyphemus story from Homer's Odyssey. The Romans changed the story a
bit--note that the giant has not one, but three eyes, and he devoured a ram
rather than several of Odysseus' comrades.
