[LRflex] Politics are unavoidable

Dave,
In addition to demanding that politics in no form whatsoever may raise
its ugly head in these annals, may I ask politely if you also object to
mentions of cameras, lenses and accessories other than Leica? Insist
that all pictures shown here MUST be shot with Leica gear? This is not
THAT kind of list or forum.

Politics are bound to turn up here from time to time - for example the
British police crackdown on snappers in the UK, copyright laws affecting
image rights, photos of social injustice, suffering, conflict etc. and
even financial politics affecting the price and production of Leica gear
and whether we are in a position to be able to afford it.

It is natural that politics will turn up, we are a varied bunch of
people from many different walks of life, nations and cultures around
the planet, all with our own personal views, opinions, loves, pet hates
and whatever else makes us what we are - we are bound, of course, by one
common factor - a love of (or at least great interest in) Leica cameras
lenses and photography (where the emphasis is strongly on the
photography aspect, and not necessarily the brand).

If all that is too hot for you and we all comply with your suggestions,
you'll be here on your own most of the time.

The only "dictatorship" I am prepared to accept here is from our dear
friends David Young and Xavier - the title of moderator consists almost
entirely of the word "moderate" (which also, by the way, describes the
majority of the people on this list.
