Indeed Hong Kong has a very extensive and ever growing subway system - called
the MTR (Mass Transit Railway). It is a private corporation, which funds the
subway lines from the sale of land around the subway stops which is leases from
the HK Government on 99 year leases. The lines are clean, bright, efficient and
move millions upon millions of people daily. See <
